Jordy go’s Hollywood
A dropping tide, 3.8 meters of swell with SE winds , and Jordy Smith are a recipe for absolute disregard for anybody else’s surfing integrity and confidence. Wearing a Oneill 4/3 hooded Mutant steamer, Booties, and gloves and powered by a cold can of RED BULL Jordy and his camera team showed up at llandudno this AM with top movie producer Kai Neville to film parts of his Title movie. Phantom and R.E.D cameras , and full work force behind the production Jords had his work cut out for him. With us normal humans struggling to get to the bottom the immortal Smith was punting full rotation 360 airs in gail force SE and landing them while riding the barrel longer and deeper than most of our hold downs. Here’s a sneak peak at what to expect from his llandudno section!

I really do not like the way you making Jordy sound like a surf God. I am dying after holding my breath for numerous years anxiously following the tour during studies, only to end in dismay. Jordy has to win this year there is no other option!!
Nah bongani you have no idea what ur saying… I’ve seen Jordy and his mates surfing all the time at llands/glen and they rip like no-one else… he’s had some bad luck but this will be the year…. just wait and see
@bongani,
Im not making Jordy out to be a surf god Jordy is a Surf GOD, go back and look at his junior career, no other surfer, not slater, fanning, reynolds, or Taj (former most successful junior) has done what jordy has, and the fact that he’s south african makes it all the better. Before Jordy blew his ribs out in tahiti in 2011 he was sitting 1st and after missing 3 events still finished 7th… thats 10000 point per event that missed! frankly thats incredible!!!! Thanks for the support on the site, don’t stop backing our boy! yewwwwww
I hope that Jordy never ends up in the ‘best surfer that was never world champ’ category – ala Horan, Machado, and quite possibly Parko and Taj in a few years time. Holding thumbs that 2012 is his year. PS: Your intro reads like an advertorial. Just saying.
“…junio career, no other surfer…has done what Jordy has”.
Medina has done better. Unfortunately, cause I love Jordy and he is a definite threat to Jordy’s future title hopes (then I am not even pulling in the Andinos and Florences out there).
@herman,
Not true, Jordy won both the ISA world junior title, ISA mens title twice and won the QS mixed with a ASP Billabong world Jr title in Syd and multiple national and international titles.
Why try knock back the facts people. Bottom line Jordy (had he not got injured) would have been very close to being world champ in 2011. In 2010, the man finished 2nd. Jordy is, like KS said “the future of surfing” – enjoy the fact that you get to witness his future in surfing. 2012 – world champ, any bets????
well said Ray!!!!!
Dig this post, keep it Taxed bra:()
Great website but the spelling and grammar (or should I say lack thereof) really bring the quality down.
As per Jordy… Of course he is a brilliant and talented surfer with many accolades but he has point blank not lived up to the hype he himself helped to create. Kelly Slater said in an interview at the beginning of last year that whoever wins 2011 will have to win at least 3 contests. Jordy won 1 contest. And as far as I am aware he has only won 2 WTC contests in total in all his years on the WTC. If he wants a World Title he will have to trade in all those 3rd’s for 1st’s.
Go Jordy this is definitely your year go show us all what you’re made of!
